As an artist, I search for unique and fleeting moments filled with raw emotion and pure ecstasy, drawing inspiration from my personal experiences as a young adult navigating the everchanging world around me. My work acts as a tool for reigniting the fading flame of party culture amongst young adults in contemporary society by highlighting the importance of community, self-expression and euphoria. Using fluid ink lines, chaotic compositions and intuitive cut and paste methods to create loose and impulsive works, these rare moments are brought to life. Influenced by the tangible and rebellious nature of punk’s DIY aesthetic, my process is one of physicality. Shaped by iconic punk figures like Linder Sterling, Jamie Reid and G.B. Jones, I manipulate and displace varying materials and imagery, crafting collages that reflect the dishevelled and wild atmosphere of these moments. These collaged compositions are translated onto raw canvas, complimenting the overall aesthetic due to its rough and exposed appearance.

Enhancing these chaotic atmospheres, I exaggerate facial expressions and musculature, using artists such as Issy Wood and Egon Schiele as a guide. Through this exaggeration, I celebrate the imperfection of my subjects, embracing the ugliness and evoking a sense of freedom. In keeping with this exaggeration, the viewpoints within my paintings are often extreme or unusual, making it confusing and uncomfortable to observe, encouraging viewers to move around the work as if searching for a way in.

In contrast to the wild energy that drives my work, I employ a limited colour palette, like a coding system, sporadically applying colour to small areas of canvas. Viewers are invited to decode the works, finding the connection between each piece, guiding them through the disorder before they indulge in the debauchery.

I’m currently available for commissions and collaborations.
